Mahidol University Trumpet Class

Private Lessons

Private Lessons are intended to help each student develop technical and musical skills on the trumpet.  This is one aspect of the music curriculum that prepares you for your professional goals.  Success as a music educator and performer depends largely on musicianship.  To develop the degree of musicianship required for a successful and satisfying career as a music educator and performer, you must have the experience of performing in quality musical ensembles, and be capable of performing significant solo literature.  Developing your performance skills is the only way to obtain these invaluable musical experiences.

Studio Class

The purpose of this course is to expose students to major aspects of trumpet performance and pedagogy as well as to develop a strong fundamental approach to the instrument. All students will be required to prepare materials on a weekly basis based on their individual needs and educational interests. In addition to the standard etude and solo literature appropriate to the individual student’s level, areas on concentration will include (but are not limited to) transposition, orchestral excerpts, different keyed trumpets, sight-reading, range, tone production, endurance, flexibility and articulation.
